$5,000 KCAL Super Squares 2023

The contest is open to Riverside County and San Bernardino County residents, except employees and the immediate families of KCAL-FM, SBR Broadcasting, all other Riverside County and San Bernardino County radio stations, all $5,000 KCAL Super Squares 2023 contest sponsors/prize providers, or their subsidiaries, divisions, affiliated companies, participating manufacturers and advertising agencies, the determination of which lies solely and exclusively with KCAL-FM. The contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

Starting Friday, January 13th, listen for “The Refs To Make Another Lame-Ass Call”. Each time the vignette is played in its entirety, the twenty fifth caller to the KCAL Hotline at (909) 431-4967 will qualify and earn a “square” on the board, adding them to the Big Game Pool for the $5,000 grand prize. Bonus squares may be available with separate prizing, in addition to qualifying for the grand prize. There may be up to 96 qualifiers on-air.

Four squares will be available for a chance to qualify via online contesting through KCAL Nation. Visit KCAL Nation at kcalfm.com to view the contest, register an account and submit an entry. One contest will run each week for the duration of the promotion. Entrants will be allowed to enter once per week, using one account per person. Entries from multiple accounts will not be counted. One qualifier will be randomly selected each week and added to the game board.

There will be a total of 100 qualifiers. The qualifier whose “square” represents the final digit of each team’s final score in the professional football championship game being held in Phoenix, AZ on Sunday February 12th, 2023, will win the grand prize.

If for any reason the game isn’t played, or the results are declared invalid, or for any other unforeseen reason a clear winner is not determined by the results of the game, KCAL-FM reserves the right to hold a random drawing of the 100 qualifiers to determine the $5,000 grand prize winner.

Only one qualifier per household. Contestants may qualify only once, whether on-air or online.  In regard to KCAL-FM’s “Thirty Day Rule”, this rule is waived for the purposes of entering the $5,000 KCAL Super Squares 2023 contest.  All qualifiers must be 21 years of age or older to enter and must be able to provide the necessary information (e.g., a valid phone number, email, mailing address, social security number, etc.) to be eligible. There will be only one grand prize winner and up to twenty (20) qualifying prize winners. Winners are responsible for all taxes, registration charges and other fees related to prizes.

The odds of winning the contest will depend upon the total number of qualifiers. Prizes are not transferable. No substitution of prizes will be made. Winners may exercise the right to decline to accept the prize, but it may not be exchanged for cash or any other prize.

By participating in the contest, all contestants acknowledge that some prizes will not be available for delivery to the grand prize winner immediately after the contest end date. While KCAL-FM will make a best faith effort to obtain all prizes as rapidly as possible, contestants agree to hold KCAL-FM and all contest sponsors and prize providers harmless from any specific delivery date and all liability arising from prize delivery and use.

The total value of the prize package is subject to prevailing market values of prizes at the time of the prize winner’s receipt of prizes. Contestants acknowledge that the announced value of the prize package is an approximation, and the actual value may vary significantly.

In the event of a dispute, the decision of KCAL-FM is final. Winners are solely responsible for their own actions and agree to hold harmless KCAL-FM, all $5,000 KCAL Super Squares 2023 contest sponsors/prize providers, and their subsidiaries, divisions, related companies, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any liability arising in connection with their participation and use of prizes. Winners and other participants consent to the use of their name and/or likeness for publicity purposes in connection with the contest without prior approval or compensation by KCAL-FM and all $5,000 KCAL Super Squares 2023 contest sponsors/prize providers.

By participating, entrants agree to these rules. Anyone disputing these rules may be disqualified by KCAL-FM. KCAL-FM reserves the right to change these rules at any time.
