Snow Play Safety

January 13 @ 8:00 am - March 31 @ 5:00 pm

Molly Cleland, two and a half, throws her own foam ball in favor to a snowball while playing in the snow in Jackson, Miss., Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013. A winter storm system left 2 to 4 inches of snow in parts of central Mississippi before heading east toward Alabama, the National Weather Service said. (AP Photo/Rogelio V. Solis)

Snow is in the San Bernardino county mountains and for your safety, snow play on the roadway is illegal in San Bernardino County mountain communities with fines of up to A HUNDRED-FIFTY DOLLARS or more, tow-aways, and other sanctions.  Narrow mountain roads can become dangerous, so pay attention to no-parking signs and play only in designated recreation areas. Motorists, don’t forget your snow chains, you might not be able to proceed without them.  Remember, for your own safety and the safety of others, no snow play on the roadway, wait until you reach your mountain destination to play in the snow.  A message from San Bernardino County.
