Afroman (born Joseph Edgar Foreman on July 28, 1974) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and musician best known for his humorous and laid-back style. He’s most famous for his 2001 hit “Because I Got High,” which became a stoner anthem and was nominated for a Grammy. The song humorously chronicles the consequences of procrastination and poor decisions, all blamed on marijuana use.
