Metallica, Nine Inch Nails and Korn are set to headline the upcoming Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky, in September.
The festival, presented by Danny Wimmer Presents, is scheduled to be held at the KY Expo Center’s Highland Festival Grounds from September 23 through September 26.
Korn will headline the event on September 23. Nine Inch Nails is set to headline on the 25th, while Metallica will headline twice, first on September 24th and then on September 26th.
The Louder Than Life festival, which debuted in 2014, was not held in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Announcing the return of the festival this year, promoter Danny Wimmer said, “DWP has always considered Louisville home, so to be able to bring America’s Biggest Rock Festival back in 2021 means everything to us. After a year filled with challenge after challenge, we worked incredibly hard to curate a lineup worth the wait for our fans.”
“Weather got in the way of Nine Inch Nails in 2018, the pandemic derailed our plans for two big Metallica sets in 2020 – so to have them both back for 2021, along with Korn and the rest of this incredible lineup over four days, that’s the kind of ‘new normal’ that we’re all looking forward to,” he added.
The festival welcomed more than 128,000 fans over three days in 2019.
Judas Priest, Snoop Dogg, Jane’s Addiction, Staind, Rise Against, Mudvayne, Cypress Hill, Machine Gun Kelly, Anthrax, Gojira, Ghostemane, Seether, Pennywise, Beartooth, The Distillers, Killswitch Engage and several other bands are part of the lineup, consisting of over 70 acts, that will perform on three stages during the four-day event.
