The 28th Annual Mission Inn Hotel & Spa Festival of Lights will commence on November 27, 2020 until January 6, 2021 and will feature a “Winter Wonderland” theme. This annual holiday event will include dazzling holiday lights on the front of the hotel, animated characters and much more. Lights will be on the exterior of the front of the hotel and you can enjoy the lights from the safety of your own vehicle if you are not a guest at the hotel! Walk-in reservations can also be made at entrances of the hotel and staff will be available to guide guests to restaurants and lounges.
This holiday drive-thru event will feature a dazzling light spectacle with toy repair workshop, gingerbread villages, and all the sights and sounds of the holiday blended with a touch of high-spirited fun that only Santa’s favorite Scout Elves can deliver.
South Coast Botanic Garden presents GLOW, a visually stunning art installation that will transform the lush botanic oasis into an oceanic experience for Garden Lights & Ocean Waters theme using thousands of lights. Celebrate the holiday season with millions of lights and themed decor during a festive WonderLAnd drive-thru show. Experience the magic of an inclusive showcase of the most wonderful time of the year from the safety & comfort of your own vehicle. This Drive-Thru holiday event takes place between November 23rd through December 23rd, and from December 26th through December 30th. Tickets start at $60 per vehicle.
From from December 18th through December 24th, celebrate the holidays with music, arts & crafts, variety shows, strolling carolers and lots of holiday fun at the Original Farmers Market! Also celebrate Hanukkah and participate in a special menorah lighting ceremony on Sunday, December 22nd from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
Celebrate the holidays at Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel with tree lighting ceremony on November 30th. The hotel will unveil a whimsical forest made up of 52 upside down Christmas trees that will suspend from the lobby’s atrium along with other holiday décor throughout the property. During this event, you will have access to festive activities and activities, including pictures with Santa, live music, gingerbread decorating stations, holiday photo booth, and more.
This event is an all ages immersive drive-thru holiday lights experience–built in partnership with Mobile Illuminations, the masterminds behind the Grove, Universal Studios and Warner Brothers’ Christmas Extravaganzas. The experience will run nightly from November 25, 2020 through January 10, 2021 and will transport you into a Christmas wonderland as you drive along an actual NASCAR track and come face to face with Santa’s Village, and a series of jaw dropping Christmas vignettes and lighting displays, including the world’s largest free standing Christmas tree.
Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Drive-Thru Experience will feature millions of lights, festive holiday theming, and seasonal music favorites. From November 20, 2020 through January 3, 2021, the park transforms into a magical winter wonderland with millions of colorful lights and will dazzle you by the wonderful sights and sounds of the holiday season from the comfort of your own car.
Candy Cane Lane is a group of homeowners at Lubao & Oxnard Streets in Woodland Hills who collectively decide each year to put on an amazing holiday display of lights and decorations. For over 60 years, these eight blocks have been blanketed in lights. The displays light up stars the second Saturday in December and last through the end of the year. This year, you can enjoy the beauty of the display lights in the safety of your own vehicle.
Drive through the neighborhood of upper Hasting Ranch and enjoy a festival of lights and parkway displays. This tradition began in1951 when a few Ranch families decorated their driveways with luminaria to guide Santa Claus. It continued when a homeowner created the first wooden parkway display and the competition was on! Join to see the themed streets and creative decorations. This event usually starts on December 12th each year, and is from 6pm through 10pm nightly.
Celebrate the merriest season of all with Knott’s Taste of Merry Farm from November 20th through January 3rd. While the theme park remains closed, Christmas spirit still shines bright this year with holiday charm brimming out of every corner of the park, as Knott’s wondrously transforms with enchanted décor, thousands of twinkling lights, miles of festive garland, and a variety of picturesque holiday settings, all serving as a backdrop to the tastiest holiday foods around.
Catch Fresno’s seasonal tribute to the holidays known as Christmas Tree Lane starting December 1st. Drive through a 2-mile path to witness the dazzling light display of 140 residential homes located between Shields Avenue and Shaw Avenue. This event is free but donations are encouraged.
Two Rodeo Drive started creating a custom holiday 3-D light show last year for 12 days of Christmas. The show magically transforms Two Rodeo Drive into a winter wonderland. It precisely aligns dazzling lights and animation with a building’s architectural features to blend real and virtual worlds. This year, you can enjoy this light show from the safety of your own vehicle.
The Los Angeles Christmas Market, a COVID-friendly pop-up experience featuring immersive winter wonderland decor, a photo op with Santa and a themed holiday market will be open from November 27, 2020 through January 3, 2021. Celebrate the spirit of the season at this one-of-a-kind space, which will give you a much-needed opportunity to bask in the joys of the holidays in an environment that is both festive and safe. The experience will be located on the corner of Fairfax and W 3rd St in Los Angeles, across from The Grove, and will be open from 10 am to 8 pm, seven days per week.
The Bite LA is a seasonal drive-thru experience offering immersive Winter Holiday fun for the entire family! This event features stocking stuffer sweet crawl, snowman, sno-ball fight, the holiday gnome village, stories and songs with Santa, and ugly car sweater contest, all from the safety of your own vehicle. This event is happening between December 3, 2020 through December 27, 2020 at Legg Lake at Whittier Narrows Recreation Area in El Monte.
Watch beautifully decorated yachts, boats, kayaks and canoes sail along the harbor in the 112th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade. This year’s parade will be held Wednesday through Sunday, December 16-20, 2020.
For the first time in its 112-year history, the parade will be streamed to viewers, giving the world a front-row seat to the annual Southern California spectacular. The virtual viewing experience will take place on multiple platforms will run all five nights of the parade. The show will include the parade’s entirety, the Ring of Lights home competition, entertaining interviews with participants and spotlights on the Grand Marshal frontline heroes and local charities.

Maccabees: A Chanukah Drive Thru is an interactive experience based on the story of The Maccabees and presented with humor and interactive elements throughout to keep you delighted and engaged. This fun drive-thru experience is taking place from December 9th through December 13th, and is $99 per vehicle.
From November 27, 2020 through December 20, 2020, purchase fresh-cut northwest trees, mistletoe, and wreaths from Underwood Family Farms. You can also visit Santa from distance on selected days (December 5-6th and December 12-13th).
Reflection at Descanso is a celebration of all that’s hopeful and peaceful in this world. This daytime festivities will replace Enchanted Forest of Light, and will include art pieces, special plantings, self-guided activities and a beautiful Wishing Tree. Reflections at Descano is taking place from November 14, 2020 to January 10, 2021.
From November 20th to January 10th, Happy Place is returning to Los Angeles this holiday season with reimagined drive thru experience. This event features 18 larger-than-life experiences and interactive moments. Some highlights include the world’s first giant piano you play with your car, a rainbow road, a pulsating nightclub for your car, and supersized sweets. Tickets start at $49.50 for the whole vehicle.

Take this enchanting night ride through historic Irvine Regional Park with your family from November 27, 2020 through December 23, 2020. The train will depart from the brightly-lit train station and stop at the North Pole. Santa and Mrs. Clause will greet passengers from a safe distance while remain seated. There will be carnival games, ice fishing, blizzard ball, and more. Santa’s Village is free to enter and located at the train station. if you were unable to purchase tickets to ride the Christmas Train, you are still able to enjoy the fun holiday activities.
See the harbor light up starting November 11, 2020. Each night throughout the holiday season, the Harbor’s light display will illuminate the evening sky for everyone to enjoy. Dana Point Harbor’s Annual Boat Parade of Lights will take place on December 4, 5, 11 and 12. Dana Point boaters will be decorating their vessels to the theme of Fiesta Holiday.
From November 21, 2020 through January 10, 2021, visit Santa and his friends in the Northwoods, a Village with so many fun attractions that will make you feel like you have been transported to the North Pole itself. Santa’s Village is only two hours drive from Los Angeles at SkyPark, and it is unlike anything you have experienced before. The Village this year is operating in limited capacity and reservations are required.

Santa will be hitting the road in style on a big red fire engine. He will make his way slowly through a number of neighborhood streets in the community. Go to the sidewalk on Saturday, December 12th from 8am to 6pm and wave to Santa as he passes by to spread good cheer and holiday spirit. The route maps and a timeline of when Santa will be expected in various locations will be posted online.
Join LEGOLAND for the Holidays from November 20, 2020 through January 10, 2021. The Resort is bursting with holiday cheer and festive décor! Your favorite holiday characters Santa and the Toy Solider are back and ready for socially distanced meet-and-greets. Head over to Fun Town where there’s a 30-foot, fully decorated LEGO Christmas tree with over 400 LEGO ornaments.
