Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Corona Division is slated to host a free, public Open House and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Career Fair event March 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Norco, California.
The Open House and STEM Career Fair will feature Navy and Marine Corps exhibits, static displays and an array of hands-on science and engineering activities to help inspire the next generation of Navy scientists and engineers. Exhibits include thermal imaging cameras, augmented reality training displays, cybersecurity challenges, a Navy dive tank and more. All ages are welcome.
The event aims to bring members of the local community together with the “Navy in Norco” to showcase the NSWC Corona mission and its significant role in national defense.
“The NSWC Corona Open House is designed to help us share who we are and what we do,” said Commanding Officer Capt. Khary Hembree-Bey. “It is also a great opportunity for relationship
building and interaction between the NSWC Corona workforce and our neighbors in the community who support us every day.”
Job seekers are encouraged to bring resumes and transcripts, as the command human resources department will be on hand to discuss current openings and conduct interviews.
NSWC Corona offers flexible work schedules, on the job training, tuition reimbursement programs and continued education opportunities. Navy civilian careers do not require candidates to enlist in the military.
