In partnership with the Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau and the 63rd Annual Christmas on Euclid event, Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino (FARSB) invites the public to participate in its Can Tree Wonderland on December 11, 2021 at 224 N Euclid Avenue, Ontario from 8am to 5pm.
Embracing the holiday spirit, local residents are invited to experience a magical wonder of collected canned food donations turned into can structured trees. After the event, cans will be utilized to help support Inland Empire hunger relief programs.
Groups interested in hosting a food drive and participating in Can Tree Wonderland on December 11th must register their canned food drive by December 1, 2021 at www.FeedingIE.org/cantree. Can trees are estimated to need between 600 and 800 cans of food each. Interested groups can also purchase their cans to participate through FARSB’s Can Tree webpage.
“In its first year, we are astounded by the number of local businesses who had registered and are actively collecting food to support Can Tree Wonderland,” Said Stephanie Otero, CEO of FARSB, “In addition through generous sponsorship support, we’re expecting to provide over 200,000 more meals to families this holiday season,” said Otero.
The community is encouraged to celebrate by visiting www.feedingie.org/cantree to register or by dropping off canned goods at the Christmas on Euclid event on December 11th.
Can Tree Wonderland is proudly sponsoredby Goodman, Molina Healthcare, Montclair Hospital Medical Center, and the San Bernardino Elks Lodge #836.
About Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino
Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino (FARSB) is leading the fight against hunger in the Inland Empire by providing food access, emergency relief, education, and advocacy to families in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. FARSB opened in 1980 as Survive Food Bank in response to the increasing concern about the dual problems of hunger and food waste in the Inland Empire. Today, FARSB is the primary source of food to over 200 local nonprofit organizations, distributing over two million pounds of food monthly to emergency food pantries, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, high-need elementary schools, halfway houses, senior centers, residential treatment centers, shelters for the abused, after school programs and group homes. With the help of these charity partners, they make up the largest hunger relief organization in the Inland Empire, making food security a reality for over 1.2 million people every year. Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino proudly holds the 2021 Guide Star Platinum Seal of Transparency, the
highest level of transparency achievable through Guide Star. For more information, visit www.FeedingIE.org.
