Last week, Warped Tour lit up the Pomona Fairplex again. Warped Tour has always been a mixed bag to me. On one hand, some great, hungry new Metal and Alt bands show up, and that makes for great photo opportunities. On the other hand, it’s day hanging out on the inside area of the Pomona Fairplex with no shade, more dust than you have ever breathed in, and photo pits filled with amateurs.
The headliners this year were some great bands, but the stages were running late, and that meant the last band – Pierce The Veil – went on after sunset. Because there were no spotlights, they fired up the horse track lights, and a few shop lights were put on stage. It was OK for the crowd, but for a camera it was tough. Still, you can never go wrong Pierce the Veil. Great performance, great band.
Aside from Pierce The Veil, mentioned above, my favorite performance of the day were:
August Burns Red – Always great to see and shoot.
Bless The Fall – First time seeing or shooting them, and can’t wait for more.
We Came As Romans – Always great.
Senses Fail – Wow. This bands is crazy.
Black Veil Brides – Infectious performances always.
If you like to see some of tomorrow’s metal superstars today, Warped Tour is the place. Below are a few shots from the day, and as always leave any comments below. You Rock!
