Paul McCartney filled in for the late Kurt Cobain last night at Madison Square Garden for the 12.12.12. Concert for Sandy Relief. It marked the first time the surviving members of Nirvana have played together in more than twenty years. Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic joined Sir Paul along with Pat Smear to perform a new song called Cut Me Some Slack. It was the most talked about performance of the night, which also included performances by the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, The Who and Roger Waters who was joined by Eddie Vedder. The concert raised money for the Robin Hood foundation and Hurricane Sandy victims.
