A lot of us wish there were something specific we could do to show our support for those who are serving overseas. Tomorrow (Friday), there is: Pfc. Nathan Tyler Davis became the first Yucaipa native to be killed in combat since the Vietnam War. He was 20 years old.
You know those horrible people from the Westboro Baptist so-called “church?” They’re planning on picketing the funeral. They plan on gathering outside Yucaipa Christian Church at 10:45, according to their fliers and website.
We want to outnumber these nut cases by the hundreds (at the very least). Davis’ memorial service starts at 1pm at Yucaipa Christian. There will then be a processional route from the church to the burial at Sunnyslope Cemetery in Beaumont. Beaumont and Yucaipa city officials are encouraging people to show their support (and wave flags, signs, whatever you’ve got) along the route. You can find a map of it at Yucaipa.org, and lots more detail on the whole thing at Banning-Beaumont.patch.com.
Let’s show these morons how the Inland Empire steps up to protect a soldier’s family that is already hurting enough.

There is going to be a community meeting today (Thursday) at noon at I Street park to decide on a plan of action.
How sad let the soldier rest in peace!!! Nut jobs!!!!
I will be there in support of Tyler Davis and his family. The Westburo people are not of any Christian faith, they have so much hate that if overwhelms their lives and causes anger amoung supporters. We need to not let them take over this time for the family, we need to stand in front and be strong, you don’t have to say anything in order to get your point across. Believe me, it will be hard for me to keep my mouth shut, but if Ryan can give his life for me, I will honor his sacrafice and be silent. God Bless all who gave their lives, so we can stand strong.
Semper Fi!
Everyone that Listens to K-Cal Should go out and Show support For this Young Man That Gave All ! Also To Help Keep the Haters Away. I will be at The Church to Show My Support.
You all frickin ROCK! Just wanted to let you all know that I have confirmed on the Patriot Guard Riders website that the Patriot Guard Riders will be accompanying this hero for the entire route of his memorial. God bless this young man and his family.
ALSO… young Mr. Davis made it very clear that if anythig were to happen to him that NO ONE wear black to his services. He requested that people wear his favorite color… green. Please refrain from wearing black to this memorial.
We are from Yucaipa, and we will be there supporting the Davis Family and our Troops!!! How horrible!! These people crashing a young mans funeral to get publicity to get attention…. because no one cares what they believe… BECAUSE its WRONG Low lifes.
As a Marine mom I will be there to support the family of Tyler Davis. I am sick and tired of these people claiming Christianity and then acting like complete douchenozzles.
Yucaipa is my hometown, and I am pissed off that theses idiots would dare show up at this Solder’s funeral!!! I wish I could be there to show his family the support not only they deserve but this Solder deserves!! I thank them and him for their bravery and sacrifices!! I pray that Yucaipa will protect this family as I know GOD would want!!
I’ll be there and I’m bringing my flag I’ve flown since 911.
I altered it a bit since I am no longer enlisted.
“I am an American, I fought in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.”
I advocate to all my fellow OEF/OIF veterans to show in force to support Tyler Davis’ family. His parents have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country, they gave their son and they don’t deserve this bullshit from these fake christians! I will be there for Tyler and his family tomorrow.
I will be there supporting this amazing hero and his family. Those WBC morons will be out numbered!

Those cowards never showed up. I heard that reporter say “Thousands”. Good job KCAL and Tiffany for getting the word out.
