I had the chance to shoot photos of some amateur Muay Thai competitions last Saturday. A few guys that train at the same Dojo as I do were fighting, and I thought it would be fun to try and shoot some fast moving sports – but I normally shoot concerts. Fighters move much faster than rock stars.

The first fight was a great one, and they fighters were well matched. Unfortunately our guy lost, but at least it was a split decision. He fought really well.

The second guy to fight was David, and he was too much for the other guy. Three knockdowns in the first round!

After a few standing counts, the fight was called. David was a monster! Notice how he is pacing in the background, while the ref gives a standing count, in the shot below?

Overall great fights, and the UFC fighter Brandon Vera was in the audience! If you like fight sports, try checking out some local stuff. The fights are great, and have good sportsmanship.
