I had the chance to shoot photos of some amateur Muay Thai competitions last Saturday. A few guys that train at the same Dojo as I do were fighting, and I thought it would be fun to try and shoot some fast moving sports – but I normally shoot concerts. Fighters move much faster than rock stars.

The first fight was a great one, and they fighters were well matched. Unfortunately our guy lost, but at least it was a split decision. He fought really well.

The second guy to fight was David, and he was too much for the other guy. Three knockdowns in the first round!

After a few standing counts, the fight was called. David was a monster! Notice how he is pacing in the background, while the ref gives a standing count, in the shot below?

Overall great fights, and the UFC fighter Brandon Vera√ā¬†was in the audience! If you like fight sports, try checking out some local stuff. The fights are great, and have good sportsmanship.
