Last weekend was the 48 Hours Festival in Las Vegas. Two great days, with great line-ups, on the strip. I took 768 photos, which I have narrowed to 28 for posting here at kcalfm.com. There is a second post with half of the photos for Day 2.
The Metal Mulisha jump show was great, as always.
Hollywood Undead on the Red Carpet.
Hollywood Undead was another one I enjoyed seeing. The sun on Saturday was deadly, so I bought the only hat I could find – Hollywood Undead. When they were in the press area I think the hat helped. Gotta say, nice guys. They hung around for awhile and that really made me want to check them out. Great show.
Hatebreed performed on the 2nd stage on Day 1.
I missed the Butcher Babies show on the 1st day, but the outfits deserved being here.
I was not familiar with Black Tide, but the guy I was with said I needed to check them out – and he was right. These guys are good. I look forward to seeing them again.
Five Finger Death Punch is popular in Vegas, and they were the first great photo opportunity of the day. The lighting for most the bands was behind them. There were follow spots above the sound mix, but they only used them for the headliners. One thing about FFDP is he throws water. I was warned, but still got soaked… camera and all.
Avenged Sevenfold was the main headline on Day 1 and they lived up to it. Great show, with great lighting and effects, and mostly – great sound.
