Disneyland = lines. There, I said it. You know what I mean, you walk from Indian Jones to Space Mountain only to find it’s a 96 hour wait. (Ok, 96 may be an exaggeration, but it sure as hell feels like it.) I was invited to have lunch this past week at the private Club 33 at Disneyland. After lunch we wandered around finding long lines everywhere, and that’s when we realized there was an app for that. In fact, there are a few apps.

The one I liked best was Disneyland Wait Times Free by VersaEdge (App Store) (Android Market). It has a basic, clean interface and it also seemed to be pretty accurate. The times are based on park crowd levels and user submitted times. If you are in line, you can contribute your wait time to help the system. It provides wait times for both Disneyland & California Adventure too. The one thing missing, or not obvious to me, is a manual refresh. I tried the the “pull down to refresh”, looked everywhere for a button to refresh, and asked it to refresh. None of that worked. Closing and reopening the app did work, but that is just sad. I am sure there is some scheduled interval but I would prefer control.

Disneyland Wait Times Free is available in the Apple iOS App Store for free (obvious?), but it is ad supported. There is an add free version available for $0.99 cents (App Store). The free version has an overall rating of 3.5 from 6865 ratings, but the current version is 4.5. The paid version has 3.5 stars from 272 ratings. The Android version is free and has 4.5 stars from 86 ratings.

As always, try it and then add your comments below.
