Most of us are very carb-conscious but not so much for most  athletes competing in the Olympics.  Here’s a one day meal schedule  for  Michael Phelps.

Breakfast

Three fried egg sandwiches with cheese, tomatoes, fried onions and mayo. Then he has a five egg omelet, a bowl of grits, three slices of French toast and three pancakes with chocolate chips.

Lunch

One pound of enriched pasta. Two large ham and cheese sandwiches with mayonnaise on white bread. And then washes it all down with 1,000 calories in energy drinks.

Dinner

Another pound of enriched pasta, A full cheese pizza. And 1,000 more calories of energy drinks.

If you are wondering what the total calories are for the meals above it is 12,000 calories in one day!

How can he do that?

He works out 5 hours a day, 6 days a week!
