Happy Birthday today to Oreo Cookies!  The first batch was sold in a tin can one-hundred years ago in Hoboken, New Jersey.  Oreos are now sold in 100 countries from Malaysia to Morocco.  Guess how many are eaten on a daily basis worldwide?

Twenty-five billion Oreo Cookies are eaten worldwide every year which translates to 70 million Oreos eaten every day!

So how is Kraft (which bought Nabisco in 2000) celebrating Oreo’s 100-year birthday?  Look below:

There’s been many variations on the traditional Oreo Cookie through the years and for its birthday, there’s another new Oreo Cookie.  The Birthday Cake Oreo has rainbow speckled treats in the traditional creme filling.
