Yep, Americans eat more chili than any other type of food on the Super Sunday Big Game Day.  Probably not in Southern California but this survey was done by asking  participants in all of  the United States.  Here’s the top ten list as done by the website Ask.com

  1. Chili
  2. Pizza
  3. Meatballs
  4. Salsa
  5. Ribs
  6. Spinach Dip
  7. Wings
  8. Guacamole
  9. Quesadillas
  10. Artichoke Dip

And I personally will say that chips has to be number eleven, right?  There’s dip and guacamole, so there’s gotta be chips!

And they say this is a good example of Midwestern food.  Here’s some of the food that will be served Sunday in the boxes at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indy…

  • Braised buffalo short ribs
  • Fried pork tenderloin sandwich
  • Grilled trumpet mushrooms with Parmesan vinaigrette
  • Roasted and pickled cabbage slaw

Whatever you have to eat this Sunday I hope that you, your family and your friends have a wonderful game day!  And unless you are a Patriots or Giants fan…maybe next year, it will be your team in the Superbowl!
