October 22nd, 1990. Pearl Jam’s first live show at a little place called the Off Ramp Cafe in Seattle. Except they weren’t called Pearl Jam yet, they were Mookie Blaylock. And Eddie Vedder had just joined up with them a couple of weeks before and, although they hadn’t recorded any yet, they’d written some really great songs. Like this one, the very first live performance of Black by a very shy looking Eddie. Pretty damn cool that someone had a camcorder recording, ain’t it? And big thanks to Rolling Stone Magazine’s web site, from which I stole this post!
