If you’re like me and enjoy hanging outside in the middle of the night to catch a good meteor shower, you were probably a little underwhelmed with this year’s Perseid Meteor Shower over the last few days. A very bright full moon, while it was great in its own right, pretty much killed the darkness you need to see most of the “shooting stars” flying across the sky. That’s why I thought this picture was so awesome…it was taken from above by U.S. Astronaut Ron Garan aboard the International Space Station a couple of nights ago. Talk about the best viewing spot…here are some other shots for you.
