What does it feel like to skydive into Mile High Stadium before the AFC Championship Game between Denver and New England? just watch this awesome video and you’ll know. Wow!
This moving commercial stars Seahawks’ fullback Derrick Coleman, who is the first deaf offensive player to ever play in the NFL. You may remember Coleman from his days at UCLA where he put up exceptional numbers. Now he is with the NFC Championship bound Seahawks who are taking on the 49ers on Sunday. I think it is a pretty rad commercial! What do you think?
Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine and Frank Thomas were elected into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame yesterday! This was the first ballot for all three of these baseball legends.Houston’s Craig Biggio fell short by just two votes! The guy had over 3000 hits during his 20 year career, gotta figure he gets in next year.
The steroid era guys (Clemens, Bonds, Sosa and McGwire) all received fewer votes than last year. The debate continues. Can we really put those guys in the same hall as Aaron, Ruth or any of the others already inducted?
RIP Jerry Coleman! You will be missed!
It is the return of 24! Kobe Bryant is back on the court after having surgery on his Achilles just a few short months ago. To get you geared up for it, here is a compilation of the greatest Kobe dunks from his rookie year to now! Enjoy!
Last year I had the pleasure of shooting a great night of Muay Thai in Las Vegas when WCK hosted a USA vs China night. When I heard it was happening again this year I had to try and get photo access again.
If you are not familiar with Muay Thai, it’s a combat sport from Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. It uses fists, elbows, knees, shins, and feet in a ring similar to boxing or kickboxing. If you have watched any MMA, then you may be familiar with some of the techniques, because many of the fighters come from Muay Thai backgrounds. The difference however is that there is no “ground game” here. It’s not stop on the feet action, think “Shins to Chins” or “Knees to Nose”…
Oakland Coliseum is the last of the old style multi-purpose stadiums in the country used by both a pro football and baseball team, so check out all the work it to switch from the Oakland A’s playoff game on Saturday evening to be ready for the Raiders vs. Chargers game on Sunday night. That is why the game started at 8:30 and ended around midnight.
KISS isn’t wasting any time assembling their new arena football army! Just a month or so after announcing the formation of the team Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and the rest of the KISS crew are trying to recruit one of the biggest names in football to be their starting quarterback…Tim Tebow!
Since being released by the Pats, Tebow has been approached by a few CFL teams, a rugby team and now KISS! No word yet on what the 26 year old NFL castoff will do but I would say most people are rooting for the kid! After all everyone loves to Tebow, right? Hello. Is thing thing on?
