Judas Priest just posted up the first song from their new album coming out in July.
“After forty years of life dedicated to AC/DC, guitarist and founding member Malcolm Young is taking a break from the band due to ill health. Malcolm would like to thank the group’s diehard legions of fans worldwide for their never-ending love and support.
In light of this news, AC/DC asks that Malcolm and his family’s privacy be respected during this time. The band will continue to make music.”
AC/DC are scheduled to start jamming possible new material in May. “We’re going to pick up some guitars, have a plonk, and see if anybody has got any tunes or ideas,” Brian Johnson tells the Telegraph. “If anything happens, we’ll record it.”
And here’s AC/DC ripping it up!!!!!
Well, the after all of the rumors and speculation, the induction ceremonies for this year’s class heading inot the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame put on what most are saying was a very entertaining show! Joan Jett came out with Nirvana and kicked into Smells Like teen Spirit, and the band was joined by several others during their set. better yet, they all went out after the ceremonies and found a cool little bar in Brooklyn to jam in till the wee hours of the morning. How’s you have liked to stumble into that place? Here’s a little cell phone video shot from the crowd:
The founding members of Kiss managed to put aside most of their hostility towards each other (for a few minutes anyway) and all came up and accepted their place in the Hall after a great speech by Rage Against The Machine and Audisoslave’s amazing guitarist, Tom Morello. Morello talked about how Kiss inspired him to pick up a guitar, and how all the crap his high school classmates gave him about liking Kiss made him tougher and more passionate about his music.
Even surviving Nirvana members Dave Grohl, Krist Novelselick, and Kurt Cobain’s widow, Courtney Love, managed to put aside years of throwing daggers back and forth and not kill each other as they took the stage together.
Looking forward to checking out the whole show when it comes on HBO in late May!
