This guy with the huge dreadlocks did, in exchange for playing his request live at a show in Spokane! Wonder how many years he had let the grow out? Great video quality on this on, enjoy!
Last weekend I had the chance to see something special. Bass Player LIVE! 2013 was a 2 day event in Hollywood, including musician clinics and exhibitors during the day, and an awards show and concert Saturday night at the Fonda Theater. I knew going in that the list of players nothing short of impressive, but I had no idea what I was in for. Starting with the Red Carpet arrivals, it was a Who’s Who of Music, Metal, and Bass. That’s Zakk Wylde above, with Black Label Society bassist John “JD”…
Carl Stock pulled it off! He works out in Ontario and listens to KCAL all day long. It paid off. He just scored the KCAL Workforce Getaway to the Bahamas aboard the Monsters Of Rock Cruise! Have a great time, Carl, you rock! Everybody else, listen for details on the next Workforce Getaway, they’ll be coming soon.
The Foo Fighters are back. Working on a new album, and heading down to Mexico!

I went to see Helmet last Saturday and they rocked. The only thing that sucked is they did not play my favorite song Unsung. Have you ever been to a show where they didn’t play your favorite?
We know that Motley Crue promised that their new set of shows at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas were going to be dangerous, and with a show name “An Intimate Evening in Hell”, we probably should’ve guessed there would be lots of pyrotechnics. According to the review of opening night, there is no lack of fire! Here’s a bit of not so great cell phone video for you too:
So, if you’re heading out to Sin City to catch one of the shows, and especially if you were one of our lucky winners of those killer VIP package, don’t forget to pack the fire-proof undies!
KISS isn’t wasting any time assembling their new arena football army! Just a month or so after announcing the formation of the team Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and the rest of the KISS crew are trying to recruit one of the biggest names in football to be their starting quarterback…Tim Tebow!
Since being released by the Pats, Tebow has been approached by a few CFL teams, a rugby team and now KISS! No word yet on what the 26 year old NFL castoff will do but I would say most people are rooting for the kid! After all everyone loves to Tebow, right? Hello. Is thing thing on?
