Metallica Night happens at AT & T Park in San Francisco in conjunction with the Dodgers/Giants game tomorrow night. Big congrats to the winner of KCAL Workforce Getaway #2 who’ll be flying up there for the fun. Metallica is getting geared up for the event by releasing a video of them jammimg with Giants pitcher, Barry Zito. Pretty cool!
They’ll also be auctioning off the custom guitars they use to perform the National Anthem…

Well, sort of. The cty of Ontario has stepped up and will be doing the same exact event during the same exact weekend that the Route 66 Rendevous was planned for in San Bernardino. The weekend is September 20 to the 22nd. Read more for all the good news about it.
Saturday night, the band Foreigner performed at The Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside. I was lucky enough to be able to shoot some photos of the show, which was my second time shooting photos of the band. The first time was back in 2011 at the Hollywood Bowl with Journey. That was a great show to photograph, with the Bowl being so iconic, but I was really excited to shoot this weekend in a small theater like The Fox. This show was everything I was hoping for…

If you were lucky enough to score tickets and were there, this is a nice reminder. If you didn’t get a chance to see Green Day playing their 22 song set at the Fox Theater on Sunday night in Pomona, in their first live show since lead singer, Billy Joe Armstrong, had a meltdown on stage in Las Vegas and went though a stint in rehab, here is some fan video of what it looked like. The good news is that this was just a warm up show for their upcoming tour, and we’ll all be able to see them at the Los Angeles Sports Arena on Thursday, April 18th.
