If you’re like me, you can’t draw anything that looks like what you want it to be. But, now you will be able to draw a decent butt.
It’s become painfully obvious that some of us here at KCAL need to be kicked in the head twice before [...]
Last weekend I had the chance to see something special. Bass Player LIVE! 2013 was a 2 day event in Hollywood, including musician clinics and exhibitors during the day, and an awards show and concert Saturday night at the Fonda Theater. I knew going in that the list of players nothing short of impressive, but I had no idea what I was in for. Starting with the Red Carpet arrivals, it was a Who’s Who of Music, Metal, and Bass. That’s Zakk Wylde above, with Black Label Society bassist John “JD”…
Maybe this guys should join Bon Jovi?
Carl Stock pulled it off! He works out in Ontario and listens to KCAL all day long. It paid off. He just scored the KCAL Workforce Getaway to the Bahamas aboard the Monsters Of Rock Cruise! It’s gonna be a great 3 days rocking out to the 30 great bands aboard ship and partying his butt off. If you’re thinking about going, here are all the details on the cruise. Have a great time, Carl, you rock! Everybody else, listen for details on the next Workforce Getaway, they’ll be coming soon.
Last year I had the pleasure of shooting a great night of Muay Thai in Las Vegas when WCK hosted a USA vs China night. When I heard it was happening again this year I had to try and get photo access again.
If you are not familiar with Muay Thai, it’s a combat sport from Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. It uses fists, elbows, knees, shins, and feet in a ring similar to boxing or kickboxing. If you have watched any MMA, then you may be familiar with some of the techniques, because many of the fighters come from Muay Thai backgrounds. The difference however is that there is no “ground game” here. It’s not stop on the feet action, think “Shins to Chins” or “Knees to Nose”…
Get ready for some never before seen footage and a great documentary about the legendary Jimi Hendrix. “Here My Train Comin’” premieres tonight on American Masters on PBS.
Ladies and Gentlemen, please join me in congratulating Carla from Fontana, our grand Prize winner of $1000 in KCAL’s search for the best cleavage in the IE! Here she is with the crew when she stopped by and visited with Stu, Tiffany, and Jimbo to celebrate her victory.
Because we hate to see the contest go, we figured we’d continue the celebration for awhile, so click below to see the top 25 vote getters. Thanks to everyone that participated, to everyone that voted, and everyone who picked up one of those “Save 2nd Base” KCAL t-shirts to help raise money for breast cancer charities here in the Inland Empire.
And just in case you need a little more, here’s a fun video to keep the vibe going!
