You’ve heard Stu, Tiffany, and Jimbo talking about it, and they’re giving away tickets every morning this week before you can buy them, for a special one of a kind Kiss show. Now, we can give you some more details!
KISS will play a rare acoustic show on Thursday, April 3 at San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino in Highland, California, exactly one week before they are inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.
Billed as “Kiss: An Acoustic Evening And Stories With Kiss”, the concert will feature the band performing stripped-down versions of its classic songs without makeup and telling stories, a setup that is said to be “not unlike” the “MTV Unplugged” episode the band filmed nearly 20 years ago.
Tickets are $65-$75 and go on sale Friday, February 28 at 11 a.m. via Ticketmaster or at the box office at San Manuel. You must be 21 or older to attend the show. Listen to STJ for your chance to win, but if you don’t be sure to grab some through this link when they go on sale Friday morning!
We know that Motley Crue promised that their new set of shows at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas were going to be dangerous, and with a show name “An Intimate Evening in Hell”, we probably should’ve guessed there would be lots of pyrotechnics. According to the review of opening night, there is no lack of fire! Here’s a bit of not so great cell phone video for you too:
So, if you’re heading out to Sin City to catch one of the shows, and especially if you were one of our lucky winners of those killer VIP package, don’t forget to pack the fire-proof undies!
Here they are…the shots from the final KCAL Kegger of 2013! Check ‘em out and see if you can find yourself. If not, see what you missed and make your plans to join the fun next spring when Kegger Season returns!
Sammy Hagar returned to his hometown of Fontana recently to be honored by the city as part of their 100th anniversary celebration. In addition to serving as the Honorary Grand Marshalof the 2013 Fontana Days Parade, the town presented the “Red Rocker†with a sign for Hagar Way, a new street dedicated to their hometown hero.
After leading the parade on a float with his family by his side, Sammy was given the street sign that read ‘Hagar Way.’ Although no mention of a speed limit was made, judging by the namesake we can only assume that speeds in excess of 55 are highly encouraged, although perhaps not legal.
Hagar seemed genuinely touched by the gesture. After being given the sign he addressed the crowd, saying, “Something about in your hometown having a street named after you, that warms my heart. This is awesome. This is one of the favorite things that has been done for me in my whole career.†He also threw some love out to his brother, joking, “Only problem is I know my brother’s going to go around saying it’s his name too.â€
During the celebration Hagar was asked by the Fontana Herald how it felt to be a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to which the thankful Hagar replied, “It’s not as exciting as being the grand marshal of Fontana Days for the 100th anniversary of Fontana, my hometown!â€
On the musical front, Sammy will also be heading out on his ‘Four Decades of Rock’ tour kicking off at the beginning of June and dates through early September. No So Cal dates yet, but we’ll let you know as soon as we do!

This Thursday, December 20th, marks the annual KCAL Holiday Blood Drive and it is time to prove once again that, as the Stu-man likes to say, “Rockers step up!”. We all get very busy around this time of year, and that is why it is so important that we help keep the blood supply up for those that desperately need it. Recent events have reminded us just how unpredictable that need can be. Please stop by one of the Lifestream locations through out the I.E. this Thursday and drop off a pint. Here’s a link to find the location nearest to you, or to make an appointment to make it even easier for you to donate. We’ll be kicking down a special KCAL Blood Drive T-shirt and a free meal at Bakers Drive Thru when you give the gift of life. Thanks!
