This moving commercial stars Seahawks’ fullback Derrick Coleman, who is the first deaf offensive player to ever play in the NFL. You may remember Coleman from his days at UCLA where he put up exceptional numbers. Now he is with the NFC Championship bound Seahawks who are taking on the 49ers on Sunday. Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine and Frank Thomas were elected into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame yesterday! This was the first ballot for all three of these baseball legends.Houston’s Craig Biggio fell short by just two votes! The guy had over 3000 hits during his 20 year career, gotta figure he gets in next year.
The steroid era guys (Clemens, Bonds, Sosa and McGwire) all received fewer votes than last year. The debate continues. Can we really put those guys in the same hall as Aaron, Ruth or any of the others already inducted?
RIP Jerry Coleman! You will be missed!
