T.H.E. Center Inc. has been providing therapeutic riding for children and adults with disabilities since 1984. We are in need of volunteers to help with all aspects of T.H.E. operations, from leading horses and sidewalking with students to financial donations to make these transformative therapies available to disabled children and adults in the community. The Rocks for Vets mission is to create a music based program for Veterans and others at-risk by offering music education/instruction classes. Whether one can already play an instrument, sing or if they just have the desire to learn, Rock for Vets helps Vets build skills that are transferable to the music industry in a supportive and educational environment.
The goals and Objectives of the Rock for Vets program are:
- Gain knowledge of musical instruments
-Develop Socialization skills which help them interact in groups and learn coping skills for being in public
-Assist Veterans suffering from PTSD and other illnesses by motivating, developing trust through engagement with others, and provide a support network of peers
